Allen G. Kadish represents distressed businesses, creditors, lenders, fiduciaries, and investors navigating corporate crises, Chapter 11 restructurings, out-of-court workouts and complex transactions across a broad range of industries. Whether serving as restructuring counsel, litigation advocate, or transaction advisor, Allen applies strategic judgment and deep transactional experience to help clients preserve value, manage risk, and achieve practical resolutions in complex financial distress situations.
Allen represents parties involved with reorganization and restructuring issues in a wide range of industries, including airline, arts and entertainment, automotive, communications, construction, e-commerce, electronics, energy, environmental, fashion, financial services, food and beverage, gaming, healthcare, investment capital, jewelry, logistics, manufacturing, media, oil and gas services, real estate, retail, sports, technology, and transportation.
A certified mediator approved by the United States Bankruptcy Courts for the Southern and Eastern Districts of New York, Allen brings a unique problem-solving perspective to high-stakes disputes, having conducted private and court-approved mediations in Chapter 11 including in mega-cases.
Allen serves on the Board of Directors of the American Bankruptcy Institute. He has served on the Global Board of Directors of the Turnaround Management Association since 2015, including service as NYC Chapter Chairman in 2016 and NYC Chapter President in 2015. Allen is a member of leadership and board emeritus of workOUT Professionals, a former member of the Bankruptcy IDEA Consortium, and served on the New York City Planning Committee for Roadways to the Bench in 2023. He is also a member of the American Bar Association, New York State Bar Association, Association of the Bar of the City of New York, and LGBT Bar Association of Greater New York.
Following law school, Allen served as a law clerk to Hon. Manuel D. Leal, Jr., of the United States Bankruptcy Court for the Southern District of Texas at Houston.
