Christina Faltermeier is an Associate in the Corporate Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.
Christina has experience within the intellectual property sector, including patent, trademark, and IP technology law, as well as corporate law, focusing on mergers and acquisitions, international law, and antitrust law. She has worked drafting and completing transactions as well as litigating issues. She has experience reviewing commercial and IP agreements, drafting due diligence reports, writing legal briefs, writing and reviewing licensing agreements, terms of services, terms of use, and contract conditions. She has a background with U.S., Australian, and German law. Before joining SGR, Christina worked for multiple renowned national and international law firms, having lived, and worked in Munich, Frankfurt, Berlin, Hamburg, and Sydney.
Christina attended New York University School of Law earning a Master of Law with a focus on IP law, Antitrust Law and IP Litigation to build on her strong German legal expertise. After her Masters, she volunteered for the New York State Courts: Access to Justic Program where she gained valuable experience litigating in U.S. Courts.
She first studied law in Munich at Ludwig-Maximillians-University Munich, where she graduated “Vollbefriedigend” (in the top 10% of her class). She majored in IP Law, Unfair Competition Law/Antitrust Law and Media Law. Post graduating, she worked a two-year legal clerkship with the “Oberlandesgericht Hamburg” (Higher Regional Court of Hamburg) where she first built her legal experience in German courts.
