Brandon C. Dodd is a Partner in the Real Estate Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.
Mr. Dodd is a commercial real estate and business lawyer with extensive experience representing investors, sponsors, developers, financial institutions and borrowers in connection with real estate acquisitions, dispositions, leasing, development and financing.
Mr. Dodd regularly advises clients in connection with the acquisition, financing and disposition of medical office and multifamily properties throughout the country. His practice also includes representations of both landlords and tenants in office, retail and industrial leasing transactions.
Mr. Dodd also has substantial experience representing lenders in various types of commercial real estate loans and in connection with the negotiation and structuring of loan workouts, including judicial foreclosure transactions, transactions in lieu of foreclosure and the disposition of special asset properties.
In addition to a broad real estate practice, Mr. Dodd has represented clients in a variety of corporate matters, including mergers, acquisitions, entity formation, general commercial contracts and corporate governance issues.
Mr. Dodd is ranked in The Best Lawyers in America© for Real Estate Law in 2021. Mr. Dodd received his B.A. in Political Science and Classical Studies, cum laude, from the University of Florida in 2007. He earned his J.D., magna cum laude, from the Florida State University College of Law in 2010, where he was a member of the Order of the Coif, a member of the Dean’s List and the recipient of several book awards.
