Jenny Wang is an Associate in the Corporate and Tax Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.
Jenny’s practice includes areas in tax, corporate and business, M&A, and trusts and estates. She represents clients in various industries including financial services, manufacturing, aviation, and real estate.
Jenny began her legal career as an international tax attorney with a large global accounting firm. She later joined several small law firms where she represented clients in general corporate and business transactions, tax controversy (including tax audits, administrative appeals, and voluntary disclosures), and trusts and estates. She then started her solo practice, where she continued to advise clients on both individual and commercial matters.
In 2021, Jenny was selected to the Diversity, Equity & Inclusion (DEI) Committee of the California Lawyers Association (CLA). The DEI Committee is focused on increasing diversity within the CLA and creating opportunities for more inclusion in the association. She is an active member of the Southern California Chinese Lawyers Association (SCCLA) where she serves as a volunteer attorney in SCCLA’s monthly legal clinics. She also provides pro bono services to The Public Law Center (PLC), an Orange County pro bono law firm committed to providing access to legal services for low-income residents.
Prior to law school, Jenny was a CPA in a Big Four accounting firm and later a Senior Financial Analyst at The Walt Disney Company. Jenny earned dual degrees in Business Administration and Economics from University of California, Berkeley. She earned her Juris Doctor and Master of Laws in Taxation from Loyola Law School. She is fluent in Mandarin Chinese and Shanghai dialect, and also enjoyed studying Spanish throughout high school and in college.
