During his career, Mr. Webb has represented private owners, developers, general contractors, subcontractors and surety companies in litigation over all types of major projects, including:
He has represented property owners in condemnation actions as well as several large, multinational manufacturers of construction products in mass tort litigation and insurance coverage disputes. Mr. Webb also has appeared before numerous Cities and Counties on rezoning, variance and other administrative matters.
Mr. Webb received his B.A. degree in English from Vanderbilt University in 1989. He then worked in London, England for a marine cargo insurance underwriter in Lloyd’s of London. Returning to the United States, Mr. Webb earned his J.D. degree from the Walter F. George School of Law at Mercer University in 1993. He was on the Dean’s List and a member of both the Law Review and Moot Court Board, participating in the 1992 American Bar Association Competition in Miami, Florida. Mr. Webb received a number of academic honors during his law school career, including the Faculty Award for Outstanding Achievement in Legal Writing and the American Jurisprudence Award for Contracts. He also served as an elected member of the Student Bar Association and a student tutor.
As an attorney, Mr. Webb has lectured and published on various litigation topics. He last spoke on “Owner Contractual Claims and Provisions” at a seminar in Washington, D.C., sponsored by the Construction Industry Coalition Counsel Forum. He publishes an annual survey on zoning and land use law for the Mercer Law Review and published a similar article on construction law from 2001 through 2004. He currently serves as Vice Chairperson of the Uniform Rules Committee of the State Bar of Georgia and is a fellow in the Lawyers Foundation of Georgia.
