ATLANTA (January 5, 2023) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce the addition of Dr. Stefan Buske as partner in Munich, Germany effective January 1, 2023. Dr. Buske joins SGR’s Corporate and Global Transport practices from Bub Memminger & Partner where he focused in structured finance, leasing, corporate, and asset and project finance law.

Therefore, Stefan’s experience in international structured finance, M&A, and asset finance will significantly enhance the Firm’s global capabilities, particularly in our aviation finance practice.”
Dr. Buske possesses more than 20 years of experience in the field of law, having practiced in both the United States and Germany. He focuses his practice on structured finance, corporate law, mergers and acquisitions, leasing, and project financing. From the start of a project to its completion, Dr. Buske provides guidance to financiers, investors, lessors, transportation companies, and public sector agencies.
Prior to joining SGR, Dr. Buske was a partner with Bub Memminger & Partner. Previous to that, he practiced with his own firm, and prior to that was managing director and general counsel of a Pan-European Leasing Company, an attorney at Milbank LLP in both New York and Frankfurt am Main and authorized officer (Prokurist) of a leading bank in the bank’s structured/corporate finance department.
Dr. Buske holds a Doctor of Law degree from Justus-Liebig-Universität Giessen.
