Smith, Gambrell & Russell Represents Aviation Capital Group in First Financing Utilizing its Aircraft Financing Solutions Program

Press-Release-Josh-Gentner

ATLANTA (March 4, 2019) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce that the firm served as legal counsel to Aviation Capital Group (ACG), a leading aircraft operating lessor, in its financing transaction for one Boeing 747-8F aircraft delivered to AirBridgeCargo (ABC) Airlines, one of the world’s leading air cargo carriers.

This financing for ABC is the first aircraft transaction funded under ACG’s new Aircraft Financing Solutions (AFS) program, which complements ACG’s operating lease business by offering customers access to cost effective aircraft financing solutions. Among operating lessors, ACG believes it has created a unique aircraft financing program that leverages its platform capabilities and strong credit profile to provide airline customers competitively priced financing for aircraft purchases. In addition to the benefits the program affords ACG’s customers, the AFS program provides improved risk-adjusted returns for lenders and capital providers. The AFS program was launched in March 2018.

Josh Gentner, Partner in SGR’s Global Transport Practice, led the ACG legal team in the ABC financing transaction and in the development of the AFS program.
