ATLANTA (April 16, 2021) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce that Partner Andrew Thompson has been named the 2020 recipient of the Alumni Service Award from Emory University School of Law. The Alumni Service Award honors an alumnus who has contributed significant, sustained leadership and outstanding service to the Emory Law community. As part of Emory Law Alumni Week 2021, Mr. Thompson was presented with his award during a virtual evening ceremony on Thursday, April 15.
A partner in SGR’s Environmental/Land Use Practice, Mr. Thompson is a 1997 graduate of Emory School of Law. He teaches Water Law and Environmental Litigation as an Emory Law adjunct professor, serves on the board of the law school’s Turner Environmental Law Clinic, regularly mentors Emory Law students and participates in other Emory Law activities.
