ATLANTA (October 1, 2024) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce that the Firm advised SBB Cargo AG in connection with the tender and the procurement of a total of up to 129 new mainline locomotives from Stadler Rail Valencia, part of the Stadler Rail Group. The SGR team advised the client on structuring of the tender, tendering, evaluation of offers, drafting and negotiation of the documentation relating to purchase of the locomotives and all related issues. The procurement is part of a long-term strategy to renew all SBB freight rolling stock – including shunting locomotives and freight wagons – by 2050.
