SGR’s David Moore to Speak at 15th Annual Georgia Water Law & Regulation Seminar

ATLANTA (March 16, 2016) – David M. Moore, Partner in the Litigation/Environmental Practice Group of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR), will serve as faculty member of the 15th Annual Georgia Water Law & Regulation: Water in Georgia’s Future seminar on Tuesday, March 22 at the Embassy Suites at Centennial Olympic Park. David will speak on the Water Wars Update panel detailing the Florida versus Georgia Ligation at the U.S. Supreme Court and lawsuits against the Corps. The annual seminar will provide an overview of the key water laws and regulations, highlight recent lawsuits and holdings, explain recent regulatory developments and provide a forum to meet regulators and other key water professionals in the State.

David practices environmental and energy law, assisting clients in permitting, enforcement, litigation, compliance, and regulatory development. He is also a biologist and attorney formerly with the United States Environmental Protection Agency in Washington, D.C. where he counseled EPA regarding rule development, regulatory interpretation, development of guidance and policy, and enforcement of cases of national significance. David served EPA’s Region 4 offices where he was counsel for permitting, enforcement, and National Environmental Policy Act review involving impacts to air, water, and land resources, review and approval of state delegated and authorized programs, defense of citizen litigation, and settlements.  He also worked in EPA Region II before graduating law school.
