Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) welcomes three new attorneys to its Atlanta office. Alex Clay, Michelle Edwards and Emily Sacco recently joined the firm.
Mr. Clay is an associate in SGR’s Real Estate practice. He has extensive experience representing local and national lending institutions as well as developers in connection with commercial real estate transactions. He has been involved in the acquisitions of office buildings, shopping centers, hotels, industrial developments, warehouse facilities, business parks, condominiums, mixed use projects and residential communities. Mr. Clay received his J.D. degree from the University of Georgia and is a member of the Georgia Bar.
Ms. Edwards is Counsel in the Corporate practice of SGR. She specializes in Financing & Commercial Transactions, Mergers & Acquisitons and Technology Law. She has extensive experience in the areas of corporate technology/intellectual property law, technology outsourcing transactions, corporate partnering, sponsorship and joint marketing arrangements, intellectual property licensing and negotiating complex contracts, in the technology and logistics sectors. She graduated from Georgia State University with her J.D. degree and is a member of the Georgia Bar.
Ms. Sacco is an associate in the Corporate practice. She joins SGR from another Atlanta area firm and she specializes in International Law. She earned her Bachelors Degree, cum laude, from the University of Georgia in 2001. She also received her J.D. degree, cum laude, from the University of Georgia in 2005 and is a member of the Georgia Bar.
