ATLANTA (October 15, 2001) — On August 15th, 2001 Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP announced the launch of its new legal portal, SGRLaw.com. While the launch of a new Web site isn’t usually breaking news, SGRLaw.com offers a variety of advanced features, including a specialized recruiting site embedded INSIDE with the latest technologies, to make it newsworthy, especially with law students.
The recruiting area of SGRLaw.com was developed using the latest in Web technologies, including an online music score selector allowing law students to select from five hip music tracks, plus Flash5 and flash-action scripting. The section has a fresh, individualized, creative look separate from the main site. It contains the Firm’s latest attorney and staff openings, as well as a complete overview of the Firm for prospective summer associates, lateral hires and law students.
“Our recruiting processes will change forever after the launch of this site,” said Sherri Knight, Director of Recruiting for Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP. “A firm that clearly demonstrates its use of today’s technology will be more appealing to the nation’s best recruits.”
SGR hosted a focus group of current law school students and tested their reaction to the new functionality and design of SGRLaw.com. “We do judge a law firm from their Web site,” said Christopher Bowers, a second-year law student from the University of Minnesota. “The new SGRLaw.com site confirms SGR is a technologically advanced firm.” The site includes the hottest legal research resources being used today, along with up-to-the-minute legal, business/financial and government news.
The portal will be updated daily to ensure accurate information about the Firm, in-house recruiting programs, upcoming on-campus interviews and SGR-sponsored events.
SGRLaw.com was developed by CreativeBeast, LLC, an Atlanta-based interactive design agency that specializes in the blending of custom creative and technological solutions.
