ATLANTA (December 10, 2010) — The Legal Marketing Association (LMA) Southeastern Chapter has announced the winners of its annual Your Honor Awards. Smith, Gambrell & Russell received the award for Best Social Media Initiative for its firm-wide social media program launched in June of this year.
The Your Honor Awards began in 2004 as part of the Annual Conference of LMA’s Southeastern Chapter. The Southeastern Chapter is the largest in the international organization of LMA, covering 10 states and serving nearly 500 members throughout the region. The awards showcase the leading designs and creative strategies from firms throughout the Southeast. A panel of judges from the legal community reviewed each entry, and a winner and runner-up were awarded in each of the nine categories: Firm Image/Presentation Collateral, Firm Promotional Advertisement, Direct Mail Piece, Promotional Item, Special Event Collateral, Interactive/Electronic Media, Public/Media Relations, Social Media Initiative and Business Development Initiative.
The objective of SGR’s social media platform is to provide clients and prospective clients with a value-added informational resource that is current, easily accessible and engaging. The Firm’s social media program consists of the Estate Planning & Wealth Protection and Environmental and Sustainability Law blogs, as well as a presence on LinkedIn and Twitter and the establishment of a social media policy for the Firm.
