ATLANTA (May 25, 2010) — Smith, Gambrell & Russell attorneys assisted MAGE SOLAR GMBH in the set up of its North American headquarters and photovoltaic module production facility announced May 17 by Governor of Georgia, Sonny Perdue.
SGR attorneys Florian Stamm, Ben Brooks and Tom Spillman advised the Germany-based solar company on site selection, due diligence, incentive negotiations and in the drafting of development and lease agreements.
Located in Dublin, Georgia, the new corporate campus of MAGE SOLAR is scheduled to begin production at the end of 2010 and plans to invest $30 million to create 350 jobs within the next 5 years. The company also plans to build an academy for solar education to promote knowledge and training in the industry. The primary focus of the North American subsidiary will be on the domestic market, but MAGE SOLAR is also considering serving the international market outside the U.S.
