ATLANTA (January 23, 2008) — Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP associate Florian Stamm will be a speaker at “WindEnergy USA — The Market and its Perspectives” on February 14 in Berlin, Germany. The event is part of a series of conferences in both the US and Germany that is sponsored by SGR’s Sustainability Practice Group, the German American Chamber of Commerce and other German and American associations and governmental agencies.

Conference topics will feature the American wind energy boom and provide guidance to German wind energy companies seeking to enter the US market. Because of decades of experience serving the progressive German alternative energy market, German wind energy companies have gained considerable expertise in constructing large wind power plants. Florian Stamm will be presenting on legal considerations for German companies who wish to enter the US wind market. Other speakers include Hermann Albers from the German Wind Energy Association and Randall Swisher from the American Wind Energy Association.

Florian Stamm is a member of SGR’s International and Sustainability Practice Groups. He focuses on advising German companies in their activities on the US markets. As part of the Sustainability Practice Group, Mr. Stamm regularly advises European renewable energy and “cleantec” companies in the United States.
