SGR Announces 5 New Partners

ATLANTA (January 2, 2008) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP has elected five attorneys to partnership.

The new partners are:

Adam Buss – Mr. Buss practices in SGR’s Corporate Section out of its Jacksonville office. His practice concentrates on corporate governance issues, emerging businesses, M&A, and corporate finance, as well as technology. Mr. Buss received his B.A. from Arizona State University and his J.D. from the University of Florida.

William Hearnburg – Mr. Hearnburg is a member of the Firm’s Litigation Section. His practice includes business litigation, securities and tax litigation, products liability and appellate practice. Mr. Hearnburg received his B.A. from West Georgia College and his J.D. from Mercer University.

Christopher Holland – Mr. Holland is a member of SGR’s Intellectual Property Section. He has 10 years of experience in preparing and prosecuting patent applications, trademark applications, patent and trademark infringement opinions and advising clients on intellectual property protection. Mr. Holland received both his B.S.E.E. and J.D. degrees from the University of Alabama.

Nick Ivezaj – Mr. Ivezaj is a member of the Firm’s Air Transport Industry Group. He has represented many commercial airlines in various transactions in relation to the purchase, sale or leasing/financing of new and used commercial aircraft. Mr. Ivezaj received his B.A. degree from Michigan State University and his J.D. from Mercer University.

Laura Wartner – Ms. Wartner practices in SGR’s Tax Section, specializing in Estate Planning and Wealth Protection. She has assisted numerous individuals in creating estate plans designed to maximize wealth and minimize estate taxes. Ms. Wartner received her B.A. degree from Miami University and her J.D. from the University of Cincinnati.
