Joyce Klemmer Joins Rochester Institute of Technology’s President’s Roundtable

ATLANTA (December 10, 2007) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP partner Joyce Klemmer was recently selected to be a member of the Rochester Institute of Technology’s (RIT) President’s Roundtable. Roundtable members provide the school’s president with insight and counsel to a number of issues affecting RIT such as strategic research initiatives, sustainability initiatives, student relations and alumni programming. The roundtables’ other 22 members include senior executives from Fortune 100 companies such as Eastman Kodak, Xerox Corporation and Blockbuster, Inc.

Ms. Klemmer is an alumna of RIT, having received her B.S., with honors, in 1978. RIT is located in Rochester, New York. The school has an enrollment of nearly 16,000 and over 100,000 alumni who are located all over the United States and the world. It offers associate degree programs in engineering, computer sciences, computer graphics design and fine arts as well as more traditional curriculums.

Ms. Klemmer has over 20 years experience in Intellectual Property litigation. She has successfully prosecuted and defended dozens of patent, trade secret, trademark and copyright cases for her clients. Her clients include local, national and international businesses. Ms. Klemmer is a past Chairman of the Intellectual Property Section of the State Bar of Georgia. She earned her J.D. degree from Emory University, where she was a member of the Emory Law Review.
