ATLANTA (August 27, 2007) — Smith, Gambrell & Russell partner Jim Monacell was recently elected to the American College of Bond Counsel as a Regular Fellow. The American College of Bond Counsel is a group of distinguished bond attorneys who contribute to the public through writings, projects and teaching involving bond law. There are 185 Regular Fellows of the American College of Bond Counsel. Nominees must have at least 10 years of bond law experience.
Mr. Monacell’s practice concentrates in the areas of bonds, public law, public finance and project finance. He has written many articles in numerous journals, including Trust The Leaders, on bond law. Mr. Monacell received his B.A. degree from the College of William and Mary and received his J.D. from the University of Virginia where he was a member of the Order of the Coif.
