On June 18, Generation Green, a volunteer membership group of the Georgia Conservancy, will host its “Verde” summer soiree at The Brookwood on Peachtree from 6 to 8 pm. Jessica Lee Reece, an associate in SGR’s environmental and sustainability practice, is the event chairperson. As part of the event, Generation Green will award Mandy Schmitt, director of sustainability for the City of Atlanta, with the 2009 Longleaf Award. Proceeds from the event will go towards the Georgia Conservancy’s work to protect Georgia’s environment. For more details on the event and to register, click here.
