Join SGR’s Labor and Employment and Antitrust Practice groups for a webinar entitled, “The FTC’s Non-Compete Ban: What it Means for your Business.”

The Federal Trade Commission recently passed a comprehensive ban on non-compete agreements, considering them unfair methods of competition. The Rule prohibits business entities subject to the FTC’s jurisdiction from entering into or enforcing non-compete agreements with workers, defined broadly as employees, contractors, volunteers, and other service providers. The new Rule becomes effective 120 days after publication in the Federal Register. Read more about the recent ban here.

Our presenters will discuss the terms of the new Rule, the status of current and upcoming judicial challenges to the Rule, and recommendations on steps employers can take to best deal with this evolving area of the law.

Presenters:
Matthew Clarke, Partner
Amy Buice, Senior Associate
Erin McAdams Franzblau, Partner
