SALT Cap Workaround for Pass-Through Entities
Wednesday, March 2, 2022
12:00 p.m. to 1:00 p.m. EST
CLE Credit Pending
The IRS has ruled that state income taxes levied on pass-through entities can escape the SALT cap limitation enacted in the 2017 Tax Cuts and Jobs Act. Following this ruling, many states have enacted so-called “PTE” (pass-through entity) taxes, most of which became effective in 2022. This panel will address the legal and accounting issues raised by PTE taxes, how they work and whether they are a practical solution for your business.
