Join SGR’s ERISA Practice Thursday, March 21st at 11:30 a.m. EST for an informative webinar that delves into Quarterly Insights on Fundamentals and Emerging Trends.

When employees need time away from work, they may be entitled to unpaid medical and/or disability-related leave under two federal laws: the Americans with Disabilities Act (ADA) and the Family and Medical Leave Act (FMLA). Currently, there is no federal law regarding paid leave for employees in the private sector.

In the absence of federal requirements, the number of state and local laws requiring paid leave have dramatically increased. Depending on the situation, one or more of these laws can apply to the same employee.

Our presenters will help employers understand their responsibilities by providing a general overview of the ADA, the FMLA and state and local paid sick leave and paid time off requirements, including information about where the laws intersect, and various ways employers can approach compliance.
