Before joining the Firm, Mrs. Thomas interned at the U.S. Department of Housing and Urban Development and completed a judicial externship with The Honorable Patricia D. Barksdale.
Mrs. Thomas earned her Bachelor of Business Administration (B.B.A.) in Human Resources Management from Florida International University, summa cum laude, and her Master of Science (M.S.) in Real Estate and Doctor of Law (J.D.) from the University of Florida. During her undergraduate career, Saya studied liberal arts at Sophia University in Tokyo, Japan. During law school, Mrs. Thomas served as a Forum Editor for the Florida Law Review, where she received the DT Smith Outstanding Associate Editor Award. She also served in an executive position for the Real Property Law Association and Asian Pacific American Law Student Association.
