Stacy Scaldo is Counsel in the Litigation Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.
With a wealth of experience in research and writing in complex legal matters, Ms. Scaldo provides litigation and general counsel services to her clients.
She previously served seventeen years as a law professor for a Jacksonville area law school. As a law teacher and scholar, she was actively engaged in the development of legal theory and application, particularly with regard to constitutional issues and individual rights. She is the author of several law review articles and has proven herself to be a valuable participant and presenter at various national legal conferences.
Ms. Scaldo began her career as a state appellate and federal trial court law clerk, where she was actively involved in researching an unlimited range of issues and working on hundreds of trial court and appellate opinions and orders. During her tenure in academia, Stacy served as Associate Dean of Academic Affairs and Associate Dean of the Law Library. In both those roles and as a faculty member, she spearheaded a variety of law school and educational initiatives.
She earned her Bachelor of Arts degree from Penn State University and her Juris Doctor degree from Nova Southeastern University. She graduated from law school 5th in her class, summa cum laude, and served as the Technical Editor of the law review as well as the President of the Florida Association of Women Lawyers.
In her spare time, she enjoys spending time with her family, being outdoors, reading, and staying informed of current events.
