Stanley Ihejirika is an Associate in the Litigation Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.
Mr. Ihejirika earned his Juris Doctor from Loyola University Chicago School of Law, graduating with distinction as a Thomas More Scholar, Illinois Judicial Council Scholar, and Finney Injury Law Scholar. Demonstrating his passion for legal education and leadership, he served as Lead Teaching Assistant for Professional Identity Formation, Vice President of the Real Estate and Construction Law Society, and Chief of Staff for the Midwest Region of the Black Law Students Association. Additionally, he was a valued member of Loyola’s Thurgood Marshall Moot Court Competition Team, where he honed his litigation skills through rigorous appellate advocacy.
Mr. Ihejirika brings a wealth of experience from diverse legal environments. Before becoming an Associate, Mr. Ihejirika served as a Summer Associate at Smith, Gambrell & Russell, where he gained experience in both litigation and transactional matters. Prior to his current position, he refined his research and litigation skills as a Law Clerk at Hammer Serna & Quinn and Equip for Equality, and as a Research Assistant at the Northwestern Pritzker School of Law Center on Wrongful Conviction, where he supported efforts to address injustices within the criminal legal system.
Mr. Ihejirika holds a B.A. in Political Science–Pre-Law from Michigan State University, where he served as President of Iota Phi Theta, Inc., there he demonstrated a deep commitment to community service and student leadership, further reflecting the values he brings to his legal practice.
