Sarah T. Gordon is Counsel in the Litigation Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.
Ms. Gordon has nearly 18 years of experience in the legal field, first as a paralegal and then as an attorney. Her practice centers largely on business litigation but has also included healthcare law, products liability, antitrust, estate litigation, and many others. She joins Smith Gambrell as part of its white collar criminal defense practice group, along with Tom Bever, Tony Cochran and Emily Ward.
Ms. Gordon’s practice consists largely of drafting and filing pleadings and motions, legal research, discovery, and preparing for depositions, hearings, trials, arbitrations, and mediations. She also works with clients responding to government subpoenas and civil investigative demands and participating in internal investigations.
Ms. Gordon earned a bachelor’s degree in Russian and political science from Middlebury College, graduating summa cum laude in 1987, as well as a master’s in Russian from Middlebury, which she completed in 1988. After graduation, she worked in television for 15 years, focusing on live, international sports and news events, including a two-year assignment in St. Petersburg, Russia, and work on the 1996 Olympics in Atlanta. Subsequent projects also took her to Hong Kong, Egypt and Australia.
Ms. Gordon received her law degree from Georgia State University’s College of Law in 2006, earning top grades in administrative law and advanced legal research. She brings her real-world experience to her law practice, believing in a holistic approach rooted in understanding and problem solving.
