Hunter W. Bedard is an Associate in the Litigation Practice of Smith, Gambrell and Russell, where he focuses his practice on Commercial Litigation and Labor and Employment Law.
In 2020, Mr. Bedard earned his B.S. in Advertising from the University of Florida. From 2016 to 2020, he worked as a Video Production Assistant for the Florida Gators football team.
In 2023, Mr. Bedard earned his J.D. from the University of Florida Levin College of Law where he was a Staff Editor for the Florida Entertainment & Sports Law Review and served as President of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society. He was also the Manager for the Florida Law softball team. During law school, Mr. Bedard continued his work with the Florida Gators football team, serving as a Name, Image, & Likeness (“NIL”) Legal Intern from 2021-2023.
Mr. Bedard previously worked as a Summer Associate for the Firm in 2022. Additionally, he spent a semester-in-practice during law school with the University of Florida’s Office of the General Counsel.
Mr. Bedard has experience researching legal questions from clients regarding topics ranging from antitrust law employment discrimination and constructing memorandums on code enforcement issues, attorney-client privilege, and fee-defense litigation. He has also drafted various legal documents such as a motion to compel discovery, motion in limine, and complaints regarding breach of fiduciary duty.
In his spare time, he enjoys traveling, sports, and spending time with his wife, family, and friends.
