May 29, 2025 – Crain’s Chicago Business recently featured Counsel Jeffery Cross on GTCR’s constitutional challenge to the FTC’s attempt to block its $627 million acquisition of Surmodics. Cross noted that such arguments have become common but are unlikely to succeed, stating, “It has become standard practice now to file a counterclaim to attack the FTC as unconstitutional.”
