The “American Clean Energy and Security Act,” was approved by a 219-212 vote in the House of Representatives last Friday. The climate bill, outlined in previous Newsletters here and here, covers a wide range of subject areas including regulating greenhouse gas emissions and mandating that 15 percent of the country’s electricity come from renewable sources.
