We’re pleased to share that SGR partner Matt O’Hara will be speaking at the Ethics 2026 Conference, a virtual program examining emerging ethical issues in the legal profession. On Wednesday, May 13, Matt will participate in the afternoon panel, “You, Your Client, and AI Usage: When and What Type of Client Notice and Consent Is Needed?”, which will provide Illinois lawyers with practical guidance on the ethical use of AI in legal practice. The discussion will cover transparency with clients, when disclosure and consent are required versus recommended, and how the Illinois Supreme Court’s AI policy and ARDC guidance apply in real-world scenarios. The session will be livestreamed from 2:40–3:40 p.m. CT and recorded for on-demand viewing.
