Elena Sucharetza is an Associate in the Litigation Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.
Her practice focuses primarily on commercial litigation and antitrust matters, where she applies her strong analytical skills and attention to detail to complex business disputes and competition-related cases.
Elena earned her J.D., cum laude, from the Indiana University Maurer School of Law. While in law school, she served as an Articles Editor for the Indiana Law Journal and was recognized as an IAPP Westin Scholar. She also earned highest grade distinctions in Administrative Law, Information Privacy, Cybersecurity, and Critical Reading and Writing. Elena received her B.S. in Journalism with a minor in Political Science from Northwestern University’s Medill School of Journalism.
During law school summers, Elena first served as a Judicial Extern to the Honorable Thomas M. Durkin of the U.S. District Court for the Northern District of Illinois and was then a Summer Associate at Smith Gambrell, where she worked on a variety of commercial litigation matters.
Outside of work, Elena plays violin in the Northwestern Medical Orchestra, a philharmonic orchestra open to university alumni.
