Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP Welcomes Former Assistant United States Attorney Erin N. Spritzer to the firm’s Litigation and White Collar, Government & Internal Investigations Practices

ATLANTA (September 2, 2025) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP is pleased announce the arrival of partner Erin N. Spritzer to the firm’s Atlanta office.

Bever, co-leader of the White Collar, Government & Internal Investigations Practice. “Erin’s experience as an Assistant United States Attorney will be invaluable to our clients, and we look forward to her significant contributions to the firm.”

Ms. Spritzer is a partner in the firm’s Litigation Practice and White Collar, Government & Internal Investigations Practice. She is a seasoned trial lawyer with nearly a decade of experience as an Assistant United States Attorney (AUSA) in the Middle District of Georgia and the Northern District of Georgia. As an AUSA, she prosecuted complex, high-stakes cases involving financial fraud, racketeering, violent crime, civil rights, public corruption, and health care fraud. She has tried numerous jury trials to verdict, including two multi-defendant RICO trials, and has argued before the Eleventh Circuit Court of Appeals. Recognized for her courtroom skills and managing large-scale investigations, she has earned multiple honors, including the Assistant Attorney General Award, OCDETF Director’s Award, and commendations from the FBI and U.S. Attorney’s Office.

In addition to her legal practice, she is a faculty member of Emory Law School’s Trial Techniques Program and an active leader in professional and community organizations. Ms. Spritzer earned her J.D. from Emory University School of Law and her B.A. from the University of North Carolina at Chapel Hill.

Smith Gambrell’s Chambers-ranked White Collar, Government & Investigations Practice is led by two former Assistant U.S. Attorneys and longtime trial partners who bring deep insight into the strengths, weaknesses, and perils of any case.
