Justin Herzog is an Associate in the Litigation Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.
Justin M. Herzog concentrates his work on civil litigation, including contract disputes, bankruptcy-related litigation, issues involving the Fair Housing Act, and other complex commercial litigation. Mr. Herzog has represented individuals, corporations, municipalities, and other organizations in a wide variety of matters and at all stages of litigation.
Mr. Herzog has been recognized as an Emerging Lawyer by Leading Lawyers, an award for the top 2% of lawyers in the state who are 40 or younger or who have been practicing less than 10 years.
Mr. Herzog earned his J.D. from Loyola University Chicago where he was a member of the Dean’s List, was an associate editor of The Loyola University Chicago International Law Review, and earned a certificate in Taxation. While at Loyola, Justin served as a legal extern for the Honorable Michael B. Hyman of the Illinois Appellate Court. Mr. Herzog also served as a legal extern in the Employment Litigation division of the Illinois Attorney General’s Office. He also received his B.S. from the University of Nebraska.
