Smith Gambrell Russell’s Daniel K. Bean Named Jacksonville Daily Record’s 2024 Lawyer of the Year

ATLANTA (May 6, 2024) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce that Counsel Daniel K. Bean was named Jacksonville Daily Record’s 2024 Lawyer of the Year at The Jacksonville Bar Association’s annual meeting and Law Day luncheon on May 1.

Conferred annually since 1986 by The Jacksonville Bar Association and Jacksonville Daily Record, the Lawyer of the Year Award honors outstanding service to the community over and above the practice of law.

Bean joined SGR in early 2024 through a combination with ABL Law. He serves as Counsel in the Litigation Practice. He possesses extensive experience in trust and probate matters, complex commercial litigation matters, including contract disputes, insurance coverage issues, financial lending matters, class actions, and more. In addition to his law practice, he serves as President of the Jacksonville Historic Naval Ship Association, Chair of the Board of Trustees of WJCT, Board Member and Treasurer of the Five Star Veterans Center, Florida Vice-Chair of the Prepaid College Foundation, Board Member of K9s for Warriors and Chair of the FreshMinistries Board of Trustees.
