Smith, Gambrell & Russell partner Jay Schwartz has been appointed to Emory University’s Board of Visitors. The Board of Visitors is a distinguished group of leaders who help Emory University further its relationships with the Atlanta community. Nominations to the Board of Visitors are taken from peers and voted on by the Emory Board of Trustees. Previous members include several CEOs and Presidents of Atlanta’s largest companies.

Jay Schwartz currently serves as the Firm’s Finance Partner. His practice areas include mergers and acquisitions, finance, securities, commercial leasing and technology. He has extensive experience in working with software companies and other technology enterprises. He received his A.B. degree from the University of North Carolina. He earned his J.D. degree from Emory University where he was a member of the Phi Delta Phi legal honor fraternity. He was previously a member of the Emory Law School Council for three years.
