Christina S. Solomon
Professional Development OfficerAs SGR’s Professional Development Officer, Christina Solomon oversees firm-wide attorney and paralegal professional development and related training, and focuses on developing and implementing comprehensive programs and processes to support the training, mentoring, development and retention of SGR’s lawyers and paralegals. She also works across departments by assisting with lateral and associate integration, business development training, diversity, equity and inclusion initiatives and wellness programs.
Prior to Freeborn & Peters LLP’s combination with SGR in April 2023, Christina oversaw nationwide business development, marketing and communications strategies for Freeborn across its five offices. As Chief Marketing and Business Development Officer, Christina worked closely with and was a trusted advisor to the firm’s Executive and Management Committees, as well as attorneys within and the leaders of Freeborn’s various practice groups and industry teams, and led an innovative and entrepreneurial marketing and business development team devoted to practice support, client development, strategic planning, market research, competitive intelligence, event planning, branding, public relations, and internal and digital communications. She also practiced law for nine years as a commercial litigator.
In addition to her professional career, Christina serves on the Member Development Committee at Medinah Country Club, as well as the Women’s 18 Hole Golf and Executive Committees. She is also captain of her Series 9 platform tennis team, and is a Level 2 Volunteer and Mentor for PAWS – Chicago’s largest no-kill dog and cat shelter.
Christina is an avid golfer, platform tennis player, pickleball dabbler, triathlete, and traveler, and as a food and wine enthusiast, Christina is also the former Owner and Editor of Chritiques.com, a restaurant review blog devoted to restaurants, events, and travel.
Christina earned her Juris Doctor from the University of Miami School of Law, and her Bachelor of Arts in Communication Studies from Vanderbilt University. She is actively licensed to practice law in the State of Illinois.
