Smith, Gambrell & Russell Welcomes 13 New Attorneys

ATLANTA (January 12, 2016) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce the addition of 13 new attorneys to the firm. New partners include Joseph C. Mandarino and Bruce A. McDonald with the following new associates Quinn D. Baker, Mitchel E. Blanchard, Vickie B. Chung, Emily C. Cook, Lance T. Davies, L. Alyson Graham, Ian M. Jones, Holly B. Lance, Jennifer S. Pruden, Benjamin E. Reed and Bryan J. Wolin.

Mr. Mandarino is a Partner in the firm’s Atlanta office where his practice focuses on tax and finance. He is well versed in a wide variety of businesses and transactions and speaks and writes extensively. Mr. Mandarino’s practice also includes representation in tax controversy work. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Toronto, his J.D. from Loyola University School of Law and his LL.M in taxation from New York University School of Law.

Mr. McDonald is a Partner in the firm’s Washington DC office. He is an experienced intellectual property attorney focusing on all aspects of trademark and intellectual property. Mr. McDonald is also a Russian language scholar. He received his bachelor’s degree from the University of California and his J.D. from American University Washington College of Law.

Mr. Baker is located in the firm’s Jacksonville office where he assists clients with a variety of employee benefit issues, including drafting and reviewing compliance on qualified plans and welfare plans. He also handles matters related to deferred and executive compensation. Mr. Baker earned his bachelor’s degree from Wake Forest University and his J.D. from Southern Methodist University Dedman School of Law.

Mr. Blanchard is located in the firm’s Atlanta office. His area of practice is corporate law. Mr. Blanchard received his bachelor’s degree from the University of Georgia. He earned his J.D. from Duke University School of Law where he was Senior Staff Editor on the Duke Journal of Constitutional Law & Public Policy.

Ms. Chung is located in the Atlanta office of the firm. She focuses on litigation in the area of zoning, planning and land use. Ms. Chung earned her bachelor’s from the George Washington University Elliott School of International Affairs and her J.D. from Emory University School of Law. She was a member of the Emory Moot Court Society and participated in the national Duberstein Bankruptcy Moot Court Competition and Cristol Kahn Paskay Cup in Miami where she was awarded Best Oral Advocate.

Ms. Cook is located in the Atlanta office of the firm in the practice area of corporate law. Ms. Cook received her bachelor’s degree from Vanderbilt University.  She earned her J.D. from the University of Georgia School of Law where she served as Executive Notes Editor of the Georgia Law Review.

Mr. Davies is located in the Jacksonville office of the firm. He assists clients in labor and employment and litigation matters. Mr. Davies earned his bachelor’s degree from Brigham Young University and his J.D. from Florida Coastal School of Law.

Ms. Graham is located in the Atlanta office of the firm. Her practice focuses on the areas of estate and tax planning, estate and trust administration, and family business succession planning. She also assists clients with entity formation, business restructures, buy-sells, and restrictive covenants. Ms. Graham received her bachelor’s from Auburn University. She earned her J.D. from Georgia State University College of Law and her LL.M in taxation from New York University.

Mr. Jones is located in the Jacksonville office of the firm where he assists clients in a wide range of state and federal matters in litigation and labor and employment areas. He received his bachelor’s degree from Franklin and Marshall College. Mr. Jones earned his J.D. from Chicago-Kent College of Law and was a member of the Labor and Employment Certificate Program and on the Executive Board of the Labor and Employment Law Society.

Ms. Lance is located in the Washington DC office of the firm. She assists clients in protecting their most valuable brands and intellectual property with a focus on trademarks, copyrights and domain names. Ms. Lance received her bachelor’s degree from Duke University. She earned her J.D. from the University of Michigan Law School where she served as Contributing Editor to the Michigan Telecommunications and Technology Law Review.

Ms. Pruden is located in the Jacksonville office of the firm. Her practice is primarily devoted to labor and employment litigation and representing employers in all aspects of labor and employment law. She received her bachelor’s from Florida State University. She earned her J.D. degree from Florida Coastal School of Law where she was a member of Florida Coastal’s Moot Court Honor Board and a staff editor on Florida Coastal Law Review.

Mr. Reed is located in the Atlanta office of the firm. His area of practice is litigation. Mr. Reese received his bachelor’s from Emory University. He earned his J.D. from Duke University School of Law where he served as Research Editor for the Duke Environmental Law & Policy Forum.

Mr. Wolin is located in the New York office of the firm. He focuses his practice on commercial litigation including trade secret issues, contract and tort matters, fee advancement, indemnification, non-competes, confidentiality agreements, and procedural issues. Mr. Wolin received his bachelor’s from Cornell University, his J.D from the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law, and a Certificate in Dispute Resolution through the Kukin Program for Conflict Resolution at the Benjamin N. Cardozo School of Law.
