ATLANTA (October 27, 2022) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR) is pleased to announce that Shara Pipitone, counsel in the Firm’s Miami office, has been appointed to the Board of the University of Florida (UF) Levin College of Law’s Law Alumni Council (LAC) for a five-year term. She was selected from a distinguished list of UF Law alumni to serve and help continue the leadership traditions of the law school.
As counsel in SGR’s Real Estate Practice, Ms. Pipitone advises and represents developers, investors, and institutional lenders in a wide range of commercial real estate matters, including the acquisition, disposition, development, financing, and lending of commercial real estate. She quarterbacks deals from the initial checklist kick-off to closing and post-closing obligations.
Ms. Pipitone received her JD, cum laude, from UF Law where she was a member of the Florida Law Review. She received her Bachelor of Arts, summa cum laude, from Tulane University where she was Phi Beta Kappa and an Honor’s Scholar in Communications.
Founded in 1983, the LAC focuses on three strategic objectives in its role of supporting UF Law: to provide networking opportunities that support increased engagement between the UF College of Law and its alumni; to assist in the professional development of UF Law students through recruitment efforts, mentoring initiatives, and campus programming; and to enhance the LAC membership experience and the recruitment of new members.
