SGR Adds to Litigation and Regulatory Practices in New York and Connecticut

NEW YORK (September 6, 2011) — Smith, Gambrell & Russell announced today that six attorneys have joined the firm’s New York office from Fox Rothschild LLP: Joseph M. Pastore III, William M. Dailey, Paul R. Dehmel, Michael A. Zamat, Leanne Murray Shofi and Jennifer R. Shufro.

“The addition of these highly talented lawyers will provide SGR with a greater depth of experience in the areas of complex litigation, securities and regulatory compliance,” said Stephen M. Forte, SGR’s Managing Partner. “Their arrival reinforces our long term commitment to expand the capabilities in our New York office, opening opportunities for our existing clients and creating new relationships with others. In connection with adding these new lawyers, we are pleased to announce that the firm will establish a Stamford, Connecticut office,” said Forte.

Joseph M. Pastore, III focuses his practice on the financial services, insurance and reinsurance, and technology industries. He represents multinational companies before self-regulatory organizations, state boards and federal agencies. His clients include major securities industry companies and large and small hedge and venture funds.

William M. Dailey concentrates his practice on securities regulatory, litigation and compliance issues. He has experience representing firms and individuals in major regulatory proceedings, class actions, and federal, criminal and other litigation.

Paul R. Dehmel’s practice focuses on complex litigation and securities-related matters.

Michael A. Zamat concentrates his practice in litigation matters with an emphasis on consumer finance and insurance issues.

Leanne Murray Shofi focuses on complex commercial litigation in the areas of fiduciary duties and liabilities, unfair trade practices, employment matters, regulatory issues within the securities industry and contractual disputes.

Jennifer R. Shufro has experience in all areas of business law, including contract drafting and negotiation, mergers and acquisitions, joint ventures, business formation, intellectual property, employment law, securities compliance and general corporate governance matters.
