SGR Leases New Midtown Office Space

NEW YORK (January 13, 2009) — Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (SGR), a full-service, international law firm with offices in New York, Atlanta, Jacksonville, Washington, DC and Frankfurt, Germany, announced the relocation of its recently launched New York office to 250 Park Avenue.

SGR will occupy nearly 19,000 square feet of commercial space on the 19th floor of 250 Park Avenue, with office space for approximately 30 lawyers. The law firm is relocating from temporary office space at 26 Broadway.

Stephen Forte, Managing Partner and Chairman of SGR, said, “We are committed to expanding our presence in the New York market and expect to continue to attract attorneys — adding to those who have already joined us in New York. We now have an office location that will give us the room we need to grow.”

Lisa Kiell of Jones Lang LaSalle represented SGR in the lease negotiation. The space is a sublet from Miller Buckfire Lewis & Co., LLC, which was represented by Mark Mandell of Cushman & Wakefield. Attorneys on the transaction were Stephen Friedman for SGR and Joanne Franzel of Gibson Dunn & Crutcher, LLC, who represented Miller Buckfire. The owner of 250 Park Avenue is 250 Park, LLC. The lease is for a term of five years.
