Damon V. Pike Appointed to NAFTA Binational Panel Roster

ATLANTA (May 6, 2008) — Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP attorney Damon V. Pike was selected by the Office of the U.S. Trade Representative to serve on the roster of binational panelists for NAFTA cases. The panel is comprised of individuals from the U.S., Mexico and Canada who are responsible for the administration of dispute settlements and are selected from rosters of experts in each NAFTA country. Members review actions pertaining to antidumping and countervailing duty cases involving a U.S., Mexican or Canadian entity. Mr. Pike is one of only 50 U.S. attorneys to serve on the panel roster.

Mr. Pike is Counsel in the Firm’s International Section, where his main areas of practice are Customs and International Trade Law. He was previously appointed by the U.S. Secretary of Commerce to the Exporters’ Textile Advisory Committee. Mr. Pike is also a member of the Customs and International Trade Bar Association and the American Association of Exporters and Importers.
