NEW YORK / JACKSONVILLE (August 12, 2026) – Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP (“SGR”) is pleased to announce the arrival of Senior Associate Daniel Gili to the firm’s New York office and Associate Lucie Dierikx to the Jacksonville office.

Daniel Gili joins the firm’s Real Estate Practice in New York, where he represents clients in a broad range of business and commercial transactions, with a concentration on real estate and corporate matters, including acquisitions, dispositions, commercial lending, mergers and acquisitions, asset purchases, and general corporate representation. Daniel serves real estate investors, developers, financial institutions, lenders, and private companies navigating transactions where deal execution and financial structure must align with business strategy. With nearly a decade of experience structuring commercial real estate deals and advising on corporate transactions, he brings practical clarity to complex, multi-party matters. Clients benefit from his responsiveness, attention to due diligence, and ability to move transactions forward efficiently.

Before joining SGR, Daniel spent nine years at a boutique firm in New York, where he built a diverse transactional practice representing investors, developers, lenders, and corporations. His work included negotiating complex commercial agreements, managing ACRIS filings and deed preparation, and coordinating multi-party closings.

Lucie Dierikx joins the firm’s Real Estate Practice in Jacksonville, where she brings a unique blend of real estate, title insurance, and transactional experience to her practice, having managed complex property matters across the country. Her background provides clients with practical insight into the legal, business, and risk management considerations that arise in commercial real estate transactions, title issues, and dispute resolution.

Before joining SGR, Lucie served as Claims Counsel, AVP at Fidelity National Financial, where she managed complex real estate matters involving acquisitions, secured transactions, title insurance claims, and real property disputes. She regularly drafted, reviewed, and negotiated a wide range of transactional and dispute-related documents, including settlement agreements, subordination agreements, deeds, and court filings. Her experience also includes analyzing title documents and advising on strategies to mitigate risk while advancing client and business objectives.
