Mr. White is a commercial litigator with nearly two decades handling complex disputes across South Florida. He has substantial experience with a wide-range of business disputes, including fraud actions, litigation between shareholders and partners and intellectual property infringement actions. Mr. White has also defended a wide range of professionals, namely lawyers and accountants, in malpractice actions.
Born and raised in Miami, Mr. White loves his hometown and all it offers. After graduating from high school, he moved to Tampa to attend the University of South Florida. There, he became involved in the music industry due to his lifelong love of rock n’ roll music. He then moved to New York City to attend Fordham University School of Law. At Fordham, he was invited to join the Internal Law Journal and served as an assistant editor. Although he enjoyed his time in Manhattan, he returned home shortly after graduating to commence his legal career and later become president of the Fordham Law Alumni Association’s Miami chapter.
When out of the office, Mr. White enjoys traveling and seeking out exotics foods with his wife and their two children.
Represented a materials manufacturer through trial in a products liability case involving claims its product, used for manufacturing hurricane windows, was defective and that the sales agents made warranties as to the performance of said products, resulting in a complete defense verdict and an award of over $750,000.00 in defense fees and costs;
Served as trial counsel to a start-up accused of violating non-compete agreements with prior counsel, resulting in a favorable verdict for clients;
Managed a team of attorneys in defense of an insurance company faced with hundreds of lawsuits related to denials of fraudulently submitted medical bills and successfully prosecuted counter-claims for fraud and RICO violations against the medical provider submitting fabricated claims for diagnostic services the provider did not possess the equipment to render;
Defended a private equity lender in a series of lawsuits alleging violations of the Real Estate Settlement Procedures Act;
Investigated fraudulent short-sale purchasers attempting to buy distressed assets under false representations to judgment holders;
Represented a debt-collector law firm retained by the Miami-Dade Clerk of Courts in a class action against it and the Clerk alleging improper collection tactics, resulting in a dismissal of the suit;
Obtained full dismissal of action commenced by the State of Florida against a manufacturer of medical supplies that allegedly failed to comply with local and state regulatory guidelines;
Negotiated artist-favorable terms of a recording, licensing and distribution contract for a Miami, FL-based rock band with an international record label;
Successfully represented financial institutions in actions based on defaulted commercial loans and then representing the subsequent purchaser of resulting judgments in collection proceedings;
Served as outside general counsel to an international sports-entertainment company; and
Defended multiple different restaurants in actions stemming from alleged violations of the Fair Labor Standards Act.
