Thomas (Tom) D. Warman is a Partner in the Litigation Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.

Mr. Warman was selected as a Leading Lawyer in 2019, 2020, 2021 and 2022 by Leading Lawyers Network Magazine, a publication of the Law Bulletin Publishing Company. The Leading Lawyer designation, which is limited to less than five percent of the attorneys in Illinois, is determined by a survey of all licensed attorneys in the state, followed by interviews, verification and the approval of the Leading Lawyers Advisory Board. Mr. Warman also was selected in 2015, 2016, 2017 and 2018 as an Emerging Lawyer by the Leading Lawyers division of the Law Bulletin Publishing Company. The Emerging Lawyer designation represents the top 2% of lawyers in Illinois under 40 years old or practicing less than 10 years as named by their peers in statewide surveys.  He coauthored an article titled “Contract Dispute and Resolution,” which was published in the Swiss Business Hub’s Legal Handbook for Doing Business in the United States.

Mr. Warman received his B.A., magna cum laude, from Carthage College, and he received his J.D., cum laude, from University of Illinois College of Law.
