Travis Swanson is an Associate in the Litigation Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.
Mr. Swanson’s practice focuses primarily on assisting clients in a wide range of labor and employment law matters, representing and advising employers on labor and employment compliance, and claims involving employment discrimination, wage and hour, employment contracts, and unfair labor practices. Prior to joining SGR, Mr. Swanson was an Associate in the litigation department at a prominent Northeast Florida law firm.
Mr. Swanson obtained his J.D. from Syracuse University College of Law, where he was President of the Entertainment and Sports Law Society and an active member of the Moot Court, competing in several trial, appellate, and mediation competitions. During law school, Mr. Swanson interned with the United States Attorney’s Office for the Northern District of New York in both the criminal and civil division. He was also a student attorney in the Syracuse University College of Law’s Bankruptcy Clinic and Low Income Taxpayer Clinic. Mr. Swanson received his B.S. in Finance from the University of Florida.
Mr. Swanson is a member of the Florida Bar, the Jacksonville Bar Association, and the St. Johns County Bar Association. Raised in Crystal River, Florida, he is an avid golfer and musician, and enjoys fishing, diving, and surfing in his free time.
