Dexterrie C. Ramirez is an Associate in the Real Estate Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP.
Ms. Ramirez represents buyers and sellers in the purchase and sale of residential and commercial properties, and the range of issues associated with such transactions, including financing and the resolution of complicated title issues. Ms. Ramirez also assists developers and property owners in the resolution of matters associated with the construction and renovation of properties, such as the negotiation of special access and license agreements involving pre-construction, demolition, excavation and construction activities on adjacent New York City properties.
Prior to joining SGR, Ms. Ramirez worked as part of a team of attorneys that successfully negotiated the terms and conditions of developments in Queens and Brooklyn, including a hospital, parking facilities, warehouses and condominiums.
Ms. Ramirez received her undergraduate degree from the University of California, Los Angeles and earned her J.D. degree from the City University of New York School of Law. She served as a judicial intern at the Chambers of the Honorable Lottie E. Wilkins in the New York State Supreme Court.
Ms. Ramirez is actively involved in a range of community service activities and worked as a pro bono attorney for Project Restore at the New York County Lawyer’s Association where she successfully represented ex-offenders with misdemeanor and felony convictions who had been denied vocational licenses by the New York Department of State.
