About Moritz
First and foremost, Moritz Masberg advises companies on doing business in the United States. He works closely with senior management of European mid-sized companies, as well as startups and larger enterprises, on the full range of legal and operational issues that arise in a U.S. context.
Moritz supports clients as they establish, operate, and develop their U.S. presence, acting as a long-term advisor and a consistent point of contact for matters both routine and complex. Clients rely on him and his team to navigate day-to-day questions as well as strategic projects, with the confidence that no issue is too small to address or too complex to structure.
Moritz’s work is grounded in a practical, business-oriented approach. He is known for providing clear, actionable recommendations that enable management to make decisions efficiently and with confidence. Working alongside a team of experienced specialists, he ensures that legal, tax, employment, immigration, and regulatory considerations are aligned and workable in practice.
Moritz’s core strengths lie in contract drafting and negotiation, corporate governance, and structuring and protecting the business and its decision-makers. His practice further spans employment, IP protection and enforcement, business immigration, and regulatory compliance, often in a cross-border trade context. He is a firm and effective negotiator with a strong track record of delivering commercially sound outcomes.
In contentious matters, Moritz draws on significant litigation experience. As one judge remarked, he “fights like crazy” for his clients, an approach that has been recognized in court and reflected in favorable outcomes. Representative matters are set out below.
