Ari Krigel is a Partner in the Real Estate Practice of Smith, Gambrell & Russell, LLP. Mr. Krigel was a Partner at Freeborn & Peters, which combined with SGR in 2023.
Mr. Krigel concentrates his practice in the area of commercial real estate, with an emphasis on acquisitions, dispositions, conventional and public financing, leasing, workouts, and development. His experience includes drafting and negotiating purchase and sale agreements, loan agreements, mortgages, commercial leases, forbearance and deed-in-lieu of foreclosure agreements, easements, and performing due diligence for real estate transactions. He has represented large institutional investors, national and regional lenders, and mid-market real estate investment and development companies.
Prior to joining Freeborn, Mr. Krigel was an Associate at Katten Muchin Rosenman LLP.
He earned his B.S. from Northwestern University and his J.D. from Boston University School of Law where he was Note Editor of the Boston University Public Interest Law Journal. He also served as Treasurer of the Communications, Entertainment and Sports Law Association.
