John Marino has extensive experience in class actions and complex commercial litigation involving insurance matters, deceptive business practices and consumer fraud. He has been lead counsel in class actions and other complex litigation in federal and state courts throughout the country, including Alabama, Alaska, Arizona, Arkansas, California, Colorado, Delaware, Florida, Georgia, Illinois, Iowa, Louisiana, Minnesota, Montana, New Mexico, New York, Ohio, Pennsylvania, Puerto Rico, Texas, Washington, West Virginia, Wyoming and the U.S. Virgin Islands.
John is a member of the Florida Bar; the Business Litigation Section of the Florida Bar and has been an Expert Drafter and Reader for the Florida Board of Bar Examiners. He is also a member of the Jacksonville Bar Association: Commercial Litigation Section and the Federal Bar Association, Jacksonville Chapter.
John received his B.S. degree, cum laude, from Florida State University in 1986. He earned his J.D., with honors, from the University of Florida Levin College of Law in 1989.
He is admitted to practice in Florida; the Florida State Courts; U.S. Supreme Court; U.S. Court of Appeals, Eleventh Circuit; U.S. District Court, Middle District of Florida; U.S. District Court, Northern District of Florida; and U.S. District Court, Southern District of Florida.
John and his family actively support and volunteer for local children’s charities, including Pediatric Hospice of Northeast Florida and Wolfson’s Children’s Hospital.
