About Jamie

Jamie Scherr serves clients in the intellectual property field, providing strategic guidance on patent prosecution and portfolio management across diverse industries. She stands out for her comprehensive experience gained from working in-house, at large national firms, and boutique IP practices, which equips her with a well-rounded perspective on both legal and business considerations. Jamie’s focus on design patents and her ability to help clients grow and protect their design portfolios further distinguish her approach.

Jamie has extensive experience drafting and prosecuting hundreds of patents. She advises clients on patent strategy, clearance, patentability, validity, and infringement matters. Her background includes in-house counsel work at Kids2, Inc., where she managed and expanded a global patent portfolio centered on mechanical and business method innovations in the children’s product space. Jamie collaborated closely with product development and sales teams to mitigate infringement risks and provided counsel on trademarks, trade dress, trade secrets, copyrights, and anti-counterfeiting efforts.

Her passion for design patents drives her to help clients leverage design strategies and stay informed on the evolving patent landscape. Jamie’s academic credentials include a background in Neuroscience and Behavioral Biology, which adds a unique analytical lens to her legal practice.

Outside of her legal work, Jamie is active in professional organizations. Personally, she enjoys traveling, golfing, skiing, and snowboarding. Her Christian faith serves as a guiding influence in her life.
